aboutus

Hello!

We’re So Glad You’re Here.

We aren’t your typical clinic! We’re a mobile practice that loves bringing therapy right to your doorstep! Whether it’s a fun session at school, a visit to your local community hub, or a cozy appointment at home, we believe therapy works best in the places where life actually happens. We are incredibly passionate about supporting our outreach areas and surrounding country towns via telehealth. We believe everyone deserves a cheerleader in their corner and top-quality support, no matter where they live!

From the tiny giggles of toddlers to our wonderful elderly clients, we support people across the whole lifespan. Our days are filled with everything from speech sounds and literacy adventures to helping with swallowing and mealtime planning. We also love teaming up with our local heroes! You’ll often find us at schools, aged care centers, and hospitals, sharing what we know about post-stroke care and dysphagia through friendly training sessions.

We’re here to advocate for you, celebrate every win, and help you (or your loved ones) reach your absolute best potential. We can't wait to meet you!

AREAS OF SUPPORT

Early Intervention & School Readiness

  • Play-Based Learning: Engaging children in play to promote language skills, social interaction, and cognitive development, creating a foundation for school readiness.

  • Phonological Awareness: Focusing on sound recognition, rhyming, and syllable segmentation to enhance children's reading and writing skills.

  • Literacy Interventions: Implementing targeted strategies to support early literacy skills, such as letter recognition and vocabulary development.

  • Speech Sound Development: Helping children articulate speech sounds correctly to improve clarity and ensure effective communication with peers and teachers.

  • Social Skills:  children how to express their thoughts, feeling, and ideas clearly. Promoting self advocacy and confidence in the ability to communicate effectively and participate well with others in the classroom and community.

School-Aged Intervention & Transitional Planning

  • Comprehensive Communication Support from Prep to Graduation: We provide expert guidance for students at every stage of their schooling, addressing everything from early literacy and grammar to complex essay writing. Whether a student is working on their fluency (stuttering) or building stronger expressive and receptive language skills, we tailor our approach to ensure they can keep up and thrive in the classroom.

  • Social and Pragmatic Skills for Real-World Connection: We help children and teens navigate the "social rules" of life, helping them build the confidence to make friends, work in groups, and understand the nuances of conversation. Our focus is on helping every student find their voice and connect authentically with the peers and mentors around them.

  • Functional Practice for Everyday Success: We don’t believe in "drills for the sake of drills." Our therapy exercises and homework programs are designed to be functional and salient, meaning they make sense to the student and can be easily practiced in the car, at the dinner table, or in the playground. If it isn't useful in real life, we don't do it.

  • Personalised Programs Tailored to the Individual: Every child is unique, which is why we develop custom-built practice plans that target specific goals. We work closely with the student’s support network—parents, teachers, and school staff—to ensure that the skills we build in our sessions translate directly into better learning outcomes and increased independence.

  • Transition and Future-Ready Planning: For our high schoolers, we go beyond the classroom to prepare them for the "real world." We focus on the language of employment, community engagement, and the transition to adulthood, ensuring they have the communication tools and literacy skills needed to navigate job interviews, workplace socialising, and independent living.

Adult Swallowing & Communication

Drinking Tea
  • Holistic Mealtime Support: We work with you in your own environment. Whether that’s at home, in aged care, or assisted living, to make eating and drinking a safer, more enjoyable experience. We look at the whole picture, from how you sit and the tools you use to the environment around you, ensuring every meal is a positive and safe one.

  • Easy-to-Follow Texture Guides (IDDSI): We understand that navigating modified diets can be confusing for families and support teams. We take the guesswork out of it by using the global IDDSI framework, providing clear, simple instructions on exactly how to prepare food and drinks so they are always safe and consistent.

  • Collaborative Care Planning: We partner closely with your entire support circle, including families, carers, and other health professionals. Together, we develop a Mealtime Management Plan that fits into your actual life and meets all NDIS and professional standards.

  • Supporting Diverse Needs: Every person's journey is unique. We provide tailored support for adults living with a range of challenges, including recovery from a stroke or brain injury, navigating dementia, or supporting those with ASD and complex communication needs, focusing on their specific strengths and goals with a client centred and holistic approach.

  • Empowerment through Education: Our goal is to leave your support team feeling confident and capable. We provide hands-on training and clear reporting to ensure everyone knows how to follow a mealtime plan, keeping our clients safe while prioritising dignity and quality of life at every step.
