Yamile graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, USA with a double major in Communication Sciences and Biology before earning her Masters in Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland in 2017 and making Australia her home.
Yamile has an extensive list of certifications and trainings that are golden standards for treating children and adults on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, picky/fussy eaters, children with literacy difficulties and adults with swallowing concerns, which include:

Yamile is particularly passionate about providing peadiatric services to toddlers through to teenagers and enjoys working with people across the lifespan from toddlers through to the aged care populations. She has enjoyed working with brain traumas (e.g. stroke, motor vehicle accidents, etc), dementia, and much more. She has demonstrated quality assessment and management of complex swallowing disorders (e.g. dysphagia), language disorders (e.g. aphasia), voice disorders and fluency difficulties (e.g. stuttering).

Yamile’s clinical approach to therapy is focused on client goals and their particular interests in life. She is skilled in individualising session goals to be functional and meaningful for clients, all the while making it fun and exciting! She is goal orientated and determined to help you reach your greatest potential.
Yamile is a proud practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and currently serves the Board as Branch Executive of Public Affairs and Advocacy.
